MOSCOW, April 3. \/TASS\/. Special economic zones are a fairly effective mechanism – over the past three years, Russia opened 20 more such territories, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Special economic zones remain a fairly effective support mechanism. Over the past three years, 20 more such territories have appeared, and preferential conditions have helped them attract a record-breaking volume of investment,” Mishustin said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Russian government also prepared a bill providing for the introduction of a preferential regime for a free economic zone in the Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk regions, as well as the Republic of Crimea – the document will be considered at a government meeting, Mishustin added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mishustin also recalled that in 2023, additional volume of 1 bln rubles ($10.92 mln) was sent to these regions that were used for grants for enterprises and financing on preferential terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
